Making better decisions for us all....
Well the President vetoed the stem cell bill. Apparently he feels that the country will cross some great moral boundary if he allows us to research embryonic stem cells. Of course it makes no difference that 75% of the country are willing to risk moral damnation in the hopes of curing numerous diseases.

Don't even get me fucking started!
The President's decision is ultimately a decision to hold his country back and, accordingly, a great deal of medical research world-wide. Make no mistake, his supposed moral opposition will not keep stem cells from being researched. It will just ensure that our great nation will fall far behind all the other countries that ARE allowed to do such research... *sigh*

By the way, have you rented Jesus Camp yet? To me, that movie explained a lot about how policy is made in this country. One of our most powerful blocks of voters and strongest political influences are the Evangelicals and, I hate to say it, those people scare the SHIT out of me.
